Missions

This trip is a joint venture with Horizon International, The Life Center, and Fellowship City Church. The mission of Horizon International is to "create a world of hope" for children in Africa adversely affected by HIV/AIDS epidemic. Jesus asked us to love and care for orphans and widows and as a church, we want to do that well! On this trip, we will be hosting a leadership retreat for the orphans. *This trip is for those whom have served on a previous Ethiopia mission team.

This team will be partnering with our global partners in the DR who rescue and restore victims of Human Trafficking and the Sex Trade. This team will be doing construction work on a ministry house and will be working alongside of local Dominican tradesman. The roof needs replaced and potentially, our partners would like to add a 2nd level. It's a very simple 2 bedroom house with a tiny kitchen, living room, and bathroom. Our partners will be using this house to connect with pastors/ ministry leaders in the Dominican Republic and supporting churches from the United States. The team will be working with wood, cement, and cement blocks. The cement will be mixed by hand. There may be some electrical and plumbing that will need to be moved. If you have any type of general construction experience it is helpful, but not required. Physically able to work in heat and humidity for 6-8 hours per day is important.

July 12-15, 2023 our youth will have the opportunity to make a difference and serve right here in CLE! If we are serious about missions, we start where we are and go into all the world. This is a mission trip in our very own backyard. This team will be staying in Ohio City and serving with our local partnerships during LOVE WEEK!

The team will partnering with one of our Orange Campus's (Bethlehem's) longterm partners, Word of Life Honduras. We are excited about this opportunity! Ministry will range from campground maintenance, children’s camp, teen bible clubs, local church outreach, and evangelism at local elementary schools.

On this trip, we will be hosting a VBS at the Life Center as well as helping completing a project in the community. During this week, our hope is to encourage them with the hope we have in Jesus. *This trip is for our Youth Group and Youth Leaders.
